PROCESSING AN APPLICATION
In most instances, we will be able to process your application within 12 hours and advise you by telephone.
APPROVAL OF AN APPLICATION
If your application is approved, we will require you to return to our office prior to moving into the property to collect a copy of your Tenancy Agreement and your Renting Guide Booklet.
SECURING THE PROPERTY – PAYMENT
Once the application has been approved you will be required to pay:
The Property will be secured for you once this money has been received and all parties have signed the tenancy related documents.
PAYMENT OF RENT
It is our policy at Eastside Rentals Limited that all tenants pay rent by Direct Debit. This is an automatic process where rent is deducted from the tenant’s bank account when due. Please ensure that you complete the Direct Debit form attached when completing your application.
ELECTRICITY CONNECTION/TELEPHONE CONNECTION
It is the tenant’s responsibility to ensure that a final reading is completed and that you provide forwarding address the end of the tenancy.
CONDITION REPORTS
When you move into the property, be very particular with the Condition Report and make sure you mark everything down. This must be completed within five working days of moving into the property and returned to the office. You should also keep a copy for your personal records.
INSPECTIONS
During the period of your lease Eastside Rentals Limited will carry out inspections on the property. We will always provide you with 48 hours notice. Your first inspection will be sometime in the first two months of your tenancy.
SMOKING
All indoor areas of property leased through Eastside Rentals Limited are smoke free.
REPAIRS
Contact your property manager on 021 738 800. We will then contact a contractor and organize a suitable time to come and do the work needed. Please do not contact a contractor yourself.

- Three weeks bond
